Our client is the Canadian operation of the world’s largest pharmaceutical company and one of the top investors in Canadian R&D. Founded over 150 years ago, the company develops and markets innovative medicines in a wide range of therapeutic areas. Consistent with their mission of improving the health and well being of people worldwide, the purpose of this position is to develop and maintain regional medical and research partnerships in line with corporate strategies that will drive business growth in specific therapeutic areas. The incumbent will develop peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders and institutions in order to establish and maintain the company’s therapeutic leadership position and to champion and leverage business opportunities. We are seeking candidates with a postgraduate qualification (MD, PhD, PharmD) in a clinical/pharmacy specialty, with significant industry and research experience, including a minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical and/or health services research and with expertise in a wide variety of therapeutic areas. Proven strategic thinking skills, the ability to interpret and implement strategic directions, a customer oriented approach and the ability to work in cross-functional teams managing multiple projects is essential to the role. In addition to base salary, compensation will also include a performance based incentive program, car, benefits etc.
