			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our client a major national retailer with locations throughout Northern Canada is seeking an experienced Food Sales Manager to join their management team based in their head office located in Winnipeg, MB.  The successful candidate will insure implementation of major market plans and operating disciplines related to in-store food department activities, ensuring that performance targets are achieved and programs are fully executed to support Northern Canada Retail and major market strategies.</p>
<p> <strong>ACCOUNTABILITIES:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate and monitor store implementation plans required to achieve performance targets.</li>
<li>Ensure solid execution at store level of all programs and initiatives that pertain to: merchandising, food safety, inventory management, ordering practices, markdown management and office systems.</li>
<li>Ensure the development of superior store staff capabilities in these specific areas: merchandising, food safety, inventory management, ordering practices, and markdown management.  </li>
<li>Assist the Store Manager in recruitment and development of food department management.</li>
<li>Develop in-depth knowledge of existing and future market trends, competitive position, sales opportunities and initiatives within the region.</li>
<li>Act as a liaison between stores and Food Procurement &amp; Wholesaling.</li>
<li>Assist the General Manager with the development of annual and three year plans for the development of the food business in each major market store.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum10 years related experience or a combination of post secondary education and experience in a related field.</li>
<li>Multi unit management experience required.</li>
<li>Strong Microsoft office skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated product knowledge and understanding of merchandising principles.</li>
<li>Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision making skills</li>
<li>Proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and assignments while adhering to strict deadlines.</li>
<li>Must work well in a fast paced dynamic team environment.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Must possess strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships within the organization.</li>
<li>Must possess or have the desire to develop an in-depth understanding of the company’s customers.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the Food Service industry is an asset.</li>
<li>Ability to travel to remote locations up to 90 days per year.</li>
</ul>

<p>In addition to strong project management skills you will:</p>
<p>• Support and develop the business analysis project management skills of your team.<br />
• Assist the Section Manager in planning projects and portfolio activities on a month-by-month basis.<br />
• Establish project schedules, allocate resources and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.<br />
• Act as account manager to larger client accounts and support other business analysts in their account management function.<br />
• Collaborate with team and technical resources in order to prepare proposals for a variety of diverse and complex problems, reflecting costs, time required and alternative approaches to satisfy existing and future needs.<br />
• Organize and give presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.<br />
• Set performance objectives of the team and manage performance and quality of team results.</p>
<p>Requirements:</p>
<p>• A university degree in computer science, business administration or other related discipline with an IT focus – preferably in business analysis or project management.<br />
• Minimum 15 years progressively responsible relevant IT experience.<br />
• Minimum 8 years experience managing projects through all phases of the project life cycle or specialized in business analysis.<br />
• Prior experience in a SAS environment is ideal.<br />
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.<br />
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.<br />
• Exceptional customer service, client management and team leadership skills.<br />
• Ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines in a team environment.<br />
• Prior experience within the financial services sector is a definite asset.<br />
• PMI or IIBA certified and use best practices in project management or business analysis would be ideal.</p>
