			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our client a major national retailer with locations throughout Northern Canada is seeking an experienced Food Sales Manager to join their management team based in their head office located in Winnipeg, MB.  The successful candidate will insure implementation of major market plans and operating disciplines related to in-store food department activities, ensuring that performance targets are achieved and programs are fully executed to support Northern Canada Retail and major market strategies.</p>
<p> <strong>ACCOUNTABILITIES:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate and monitor store implementation plans required to achieve performance targets.</li>
<li>Ensure solid execution at store level of all programs and initiatives that pertain to: merchandising, food safety, inventory management, ordering practices, markdown management and office systems.</li>
<li>Ensure the development of superior store staff capabilities in these specific areas: merchandising, food safety, inventory management, ordering practices, and markdown management.  </li>
<li>Assist the Store Manager in recruitment and development of food department management.</li>
<li>Develop in-depth knowledge of existing and future market trends, competitive position, sales opportunities and initiatives within the region.</li>
<li>Act as a liaison between stores and Food Procurement &amp; Wholesaling.</li>
<li>Assist the General Manager with the development of annual and three year plans for the development of the food business in each major market store.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum10 years related experience or a combination of post secondary education and experience in a related field.</li>
<li>Multi unit management experience required.</li>
<li>Strong Microsoft office skills.</li>
<li>Demonstrated product knowledge and understanding of merchandising principles.</li>
<li>Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision making skills</li>
<li>Proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and assignments while adhering to strict deadlines.</li>
<li>Must work well in a fast paced dynamic team environment.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Must possess strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships within the organization.</li>
<li>Must possess or have the desire to develop an in-depth understanding of the company’s customers.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the Food Service industry is an asset.</li>
<li>Ability to travel to remote locations up to 90 days per year.</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our client is the largest window covering manufacturer in Canada; producing high quality manual and motorized blinds and draperies for large commercial properties; including institutional, healthcare and hospitality projects, from plant locations in Vancouver and Toronto.  Working from a home based office, the successful candidate will work directly with construction companies, on-line bidding websites and with commercial property management firms;  meeting with designers and architects regarding the specifications on a project and working with in-house sales through to production and installation of finished product.  Applicants should already have experience in the construction and sales field, must be able to read blueprints and do &#8216;take-off&#8217;s&#8217; from construction drawings.  Product knowledge training in motorization of blinds and drapery systems will be provided as well as in sales and project management specific to the role.  Level 1 First Aid and WHMIS qualifications are preferred coming in &#8211; but can be obtained while on the job.  Mechanical aptitude, computer literacy and fluency in English are desired.  Compensation will include; base salary, vehicle allowance, cell phone, laptop, benefits, expenses and a performance based commission plan.</p>
