An additional Human Resources Business Partner position has opened up with our client, a provincial crown corporation responsible for arranging support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in British Columbia.
Reporting to the Manager, People Services, the HR Business Partner will act as the human resources subject matter expert to managers; building leadership and management capability that facilitates and open, inclusive and values-based workplace. Responsibilities will include the planning, design and execution of HR services; talent acquisition, performance management, labour/employee relations, rewards and recognition, employee health, safety and wellness as well as organizational change and development. Working within the framework of the collective agreement, legal compliance and organizational policies and procedures; the successful candidate will promote effective employee relations by providing guidance and counsel to client groups.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years experience in HR, including working in a business partner role, in a unionized setting; coupled with a completed post secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or related discipline. A CPHR designation is preferred as is experience in the public sector. A demonstrated ability to take initiative, be resourceful and solutions orientated is essential to success in the role.
