This is a great opportunity to work and learn from one of the top financial professionals in the Lower Mainland. Our client has great offices based in South Surrey/Whiterock. The hours are excellent for those who like to start and finish earlier in the day. In this role you will perform administrative functions related to client accounts, and inquiries while providing the highest quality client service.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Client Service:
• Input and follow up on client orders
• Meet and greet prospects and clients
• Investigate and follow up on client inquiries
• Utilize contact management system for all necessary follow up

Administrative:
• Investigate and resolve inquiries and complaints related to accounts and refer to the Investment Advisor, Branch Management where appropriate
• Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery
• Maintain current knowledge of client accounts by reviewing daily activity on line and applicable reports
• Maintain client accounts
• Online account maintenance
• Monitor all pending registered plan transfers to ensure completion on a timely basis
• Ensure clients’ accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation and forward to appropriate Branch contact
• Documentation and New Accounts openings
• Research
• Print Reports and distribute accordingly
• Assist in preparing mailing such as seminars, newsletters, and information packages

Minimum requirements
• Must have worked in similar role for 2 years – CSC & CPH required
• Knowledge of the firm’s operations, policies and procedures regarding client accounts, including internal controls policies
• Ongoing knowledge of current market activity
• Exceptional attention to detail and mature/positive attitude
• Superior time management skills
• Excellent customer service skills / professional telephone skills
• Strong written and communication skills in languages required
• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills

Position Challenges/Restrictions:

• Ability to prioritize one’s own tasks
• Ensure daily communication with your Investment Advisor
• Ability to deal with varying personalities
• Working with constant interruption
• Can not make recommendations to buy, sell, or switch securities other than those recommended by the Investment Advisor – must be IR licensed (minimum )
