Our client has a proud history as a Vancouver home décor retailer renowned for providing exceptional quality and service tailored to modern design and the contemporary lifestyle.
Reporting to the CEO of the organization and overseeing the strong middle management team consisting of Office, Warehouse and Sales Managers as well as an Assistant Buyer; the Store General Manager will be responsible for ensuring the financial success and smooth operation of the business; maximizing sales, minimizing costs, and motivating and leading staff to high standards of performance.
We are seeking candidates with proven experience as retail manager, ideally in the home décor sector; paired with in depth knowledge of retail management best practices. Outstanding leadership and organizational abilities as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to the role. Also desired is familiarity with retail and business management technology tools and the analytical mind necessary to analyse sales data. A post secondary education in business administration, sales or relevant field would be an asset.
