Reporting to the Plant Manager in Vancouver, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance of all buildings and production equipment and for the safe direction, supervision and development of the maintenance technicians. This leadership role involves the formulation and implementation of plans to update systems or reduce operating costs as well as troubleshooting and solving technical maintenance problems and coordinating all the maintenance activities of the sites. In addition, the successful candidate will plan and manage the maintenance budget, assist in the design of new production lines and the re-engineering of existing lines or equipment as part of the continuous improvement process, and work with production management to develop training programs for the safe operation of equipment.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision in a manufacturing environment, demonstrated supervisory ability with strong verbal and written English communication skills (Chinese language skills would be an asset but are not essential), and a proven ability to lead, coach and motivate. Possession of Class 4 Power Engineering and Electrician certifications, basic level First Aid, as well as computer literacy (ideally with maintenance related software), are required.
