Dawn Longshaw, BSc, CCPE, CPC – Human Resources Consultant & Recruitment Specialist
Dawn has worked as a professional recruiter for over 20 years. Since joining Vertical Bridge in 2010 as a subject matter expert in recruitment, she has leveraged her business acumen and HR knowledge to also provide tactical and strategic HR consulting services to a wide variety of organizations.
Her clients consider her to be an essential resource in sourcing, securing and retaining key talent. She takes pride in building synergistic long-term relationships; getting to know the nature of her clients’ businesses and the issues they will face in order to provide comprehensive solutions necessary for their corporate success. Dawn is also a recognized leader in helping to shape the careers of many of Western Canada’s top HR practitioners.
In addition to her Certified Personnel Consultant designation, Dawn holds a BSc from McGill University and a Gold Medal for achievement in postgraduate studies. She has received numerous awards in recognition of consulting excellence.
Active in many professional associations and with not-for-profits, Dawn is Past-President of the University Women’s Club of Vancouver where she served on the Board for 6 years and was a leader of the strategic and operational planning processes which resulted in increased member recruitment and retention as well as a positive turnaround in bottom line financials. She has served as Chair of the Strategic Management and Operations Group of NPA-The Worldwide Recruiting Network, is Past Chair of the Program Advisory Committee for the Sales Program at BCIT, is a Mentor with The Minerva Foundation for BC Women and YWCA InFocus, and is a Past President of the Vancouver chapter of the McGill Alumni Association. Fluently bilingual, Dawn is an accomplished public speaker and a regular contributor of employment industry related articles to a variety of publications.
