As a key member of the Executive team, the VP Finance will report to the CEO and work with the senior leadership team to improve the operational efficiencies and financial performance of the Company. The successful candidate will oversee the financial operations of the organization and provide accurate information to the CEO, the Executive Team and the Board of Directors; including KPI’s, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and the preparation of monthly consolidated financial reports. The incumbent will also be expected to play a leadership role in driving the organization towards achieving its financial and operational objectives; balancing short term concerns and pressures, such as managing cash, liquidity and profitability with long-term vision and sustainable Company success. Working closely with the CEO and the Executive team to manage change and operational improvements; the VP Finance will implement a new financial and operating reporting system that will lead to timely and improved decision making and profitability across the organization.
We are seeking candidates with a University degree in Business/Accounting, with a professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, CGA, CMA, CMT) and MBA a plus. A minimum of seven years of experience of increasing responsibility and leadership in senior level finance, ideally with a multi-divisional consumer goods manufacturer/distributor dealing with top tier online retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target and Wayfair is also desired. In addition to solid knowledge of finance, accounting, auditing, budgeting, and cost control principles and regulations; applicants must have experience overseeing 3rd party audits as well as knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems as well as ERP/MRP and Microsoft Office. Offshore, multi-currency experience with exposure to international structures and transfer pricing would be an asset.
